I founded Sync Building Projects because I believed there was a better way to build. One where the person whose name is on the licence is actually on your site, every day. Where communication doesn't go through layers of management. Where your project matters β not just your deposit.
The Story Behind Sync
When a homeowner calls me to start a project, they're placing a lot of trust in me. The least I can do is show up β every day β and earn it.
Fadyβ Founder, Sync Building Projects
I started in construction as a young tradesperson β learning the craft from the ground up on Canberra job sites, working alongside builders who took their work seriously and treated every home like it mattered. That foundation shaped how I think about building today.
After [X] years working across residential construction β renovations, extensions, and new homes β I saw a consistent pattern. Homeowners were signing with companies, not people. They'd go through a sales process, sign a contract, and then wonder who they were actually supposed to call when something came up. The builder they'd met had moved on to close the next deal.
I founded Sync Building Projects around a simple idea: the builder you hire should be the builder who builds your home. Not a site manager. Not a project coordinator. The licensed builder β on your site, every day β knowing every detail of your project and accountable for every outcome.
That's how Sync operates. When you call to enquire, you speak to me. When you want an update during the build, you call me. When we hand over your keys, I'm the one doing the walkthrough. That's the business I built, and it's the only way I know how to do this properly.
We are a select-intake builder.I only take on projects I can give full personal attention to. That's not a marketing line β it's how I protect the quality of every project and every client's experience. If you're looking for the cheapest quote, I'm probably not the right builder for you. If you're looking for a builder who shows up, communicates honestly, and takes pride in the result β I'd like to hear about your project.
A note on how I work:I book a limited number of projects per year to make sure each one gets my full attention. If your project is for later in the year, it's worth getting in touch now β not because of pressure, but because good planning produces better outcomes, and earlier contact gives us more time to do it right.
Credentials & Qualifications
Every project Sync undertakes is backed by the correct licences, insurance, and regulatory compliance. Here's what you can verify before you commit to anything.
Fady holds a full ACT Builder Licence issued under the ACT Construction Occupations (Licensing) Act. This licence is required to carry out all residential construction work in the ACT and is publicly verifiable through the ACT Government's construction occupations register.
Sync Building Projects carries comprehensive public liability insurance, providing cover for third-party injury and property damage arising from our construction activities. Certificate of currency available on request β before you sign any contract.
All Sync projects are covered by statutory warranties as required under the ACT Civil Law (Sale of Residential Property) Act and Australian consumer law β including defects liability periods for structural and non-structural work. Documentation provided at handover.
Member of Master Builders ACT β the industry's leading professional association. Membership demonstrates commitment to industry standards, ongoing professional development, and ethical business practice. [Confirm membership status with Fady before publishing]
Every trade on a Sync project is fully licensed for their work β electricians, plumbers, waterproofers, and gas fitters. We never use unlicensed trades. Licence numbers available on request. This protects your warranty and your home.
Construction codes, energy efficiency standards, and ACT planning requirements evolve regularly. Fady participates in continuing professional development to stay current with changes that affect your project β particularly the ACT's increasingly strict energy efficiency requirements for residential construction.
Fady's Building Journey
Every project Fady has managed has contributed to the approach Sync takes today β an approach built on direct accountability, honest communication, and a commitment to doing the job properly.
The milestones below are illustrative β confirm exact dates and details with Fady before publishing. This timeline should feel personal and specific, not generic.
π Note to Fady:Please fill in the real dates, qualifications, and milestones below. The more specific and honest this timeline is, the more trust it builds. Include: when you first started in the trades, when you got your ACT licence, when Sync was founded, and any landmark projects or milestones you're proud of.
Began working on Canberra job sites as a young tradesperson β [describe the type of work, who you worked for or with, what you learned in this period]. This is where the foundation of the Sync approach was formed.
After [X] years working across residential projects and completing the required qualifications, received the ACT Builder Licence (No. [INSERT]). [Add any context β what you built in this period, where you were working, what projects you were proud of].
Launched Sync with a clear purpose: to offer Canberra homeowners a builder-led construction experience β where the licensed builder manages every project personally, on site every day. [Add: first project type, first suburb, what made you want to start your own company].
[Describe the milestone β what the project was, where it was, what made it significant. This is a great place to name a suburb and project type that demonstrates expanding capability].
Sync continues to work with a select number of clients per year β homeowners who value direct builder access, honest communication, and quality that holds up long after handover. Each project personally managed by Fady, on site from day one.
How We Work
These aren't marketing statements. They're the principles Fady applies to every project β and the reason Sync's clients become repeat clients and refer their friends.
Fady is on every Sync job site, every day. Not to check in β to manage. That means briefing trades, inspecting work, making decisions, and catching problems before they become costly. A builder who isn't present can't control quality. We don't accept that.
If something isn't achievable within your budget, we tell you early β not after you've signed a contract and committed. If a variation arises during the build, you hear about it immediately, with full cost detail, before any extra work begins. Honesty is non-negotiable, even when it's not the easy answer.
From your first phone call to the day you receive your keys β you deal with Fady. No handoffs, no being passed to a coordinator when things get complicated. One point of contact means nothing gets lost in translation, and accountability is never ambiguous.
We work with the same trusted trades across every project β people whose standards we know and whose work we can vouch for. When a job isn't right, it gets fixed before the next stage begins. We don't move on and hope the client won't notice. They always do.
Council applications, building approvals, structural engineering, trade scheduling, material lead times β this is our job, not yours. Homeowners shouldn't need to understand ACT planning codes or manage trade sequencing. That's what you're hiring a builder for. We take it all on.
The handover isn't the end of our relationship β it's the start of a long one. Every Sync project is backed by full statutory warranties, and Fady remains available after completion. Our reputation in Canberra is built one project at a time. We don't risk it by walking away when problems arise.
The Sync Difference
From the first phone call to long after handover β here's what you can expect at every stage when you build with Sync.
You call or fill in the form. Fady calls you back β personally, usually within a few hours. The conversation starts with listening, not selling. He'll ask about your project, your goals, and what matters most to you.
Fady visits your home, assesses the scope, and gives you honest advice about what's achievable β including anything that might complicate the project that you need to know about early. Free, no obligation.
You receive regular updates without having to chase. If something changes, you're the first to know. Your phone calls go to Fady β not a coordinator, not an admin. The builder is on site every single day.
Fady conducts the walkthrough with you personally. Documentation, warranties, and certificates are provided. And if you ever need to get in touch about your project after handover β you still call the same number.
My Personal Commitment
These aren't company policies written by a marketing team. These are the commitments I make to every homeowner who trusts me with their home β and the standard I hold myself and every trade on my sites to.
If you feel at any point that I'm not meeting these commitments on your project, I want to hear about it directly. My number is 0452 394 567.
"You hired me β a person β not a company. You deserve to deal with me throughout, not with whoever happens to be available. I take that seriously on every project."
Not a supervisor, not a site manager β me. If that changes for any reason, you'll know about it in advance.
If anything changes the cost of your project, you hear about it from me, with full detail, before a single extra dollar of work is done.
Regular project updates are part of my service β not something you have to chase. You'll always know where your project stands.
If something won't work structurally, won't fit your budget, or will cause problems down the track β I'll tell you. Even if it's not what you hoped to hear.
Post-completion issues get addressed. If something isn't right after you move in, you still have my direct number β and I'll still pick up.
Sync takes on a select number of projects per year. Not because of capacity β because quality requires full attention, and I won't compromise that for volume.
The Sync Team
Fady leads every project personally β but he works with a trusted team of licensed trades who bring the same standard of care to every Sync job site.
ACT Licensed Builder (No. [INSERT]). [X]+ years building across Canberra. Personally manages every Sync project on site from first day to final handover. The person you'll always deal with.
[2β3 sentences about this person β their background, what they bring to Sync projects, and any relevant qualifications or experience. Keep it personal.]
Every trade on a Sync project β plumbers, electricians, tilers, waterproofers, plasterers β is licensed, insured, and personally known to Fady. We use the same network across projects because consistency produces quality.
